John started his career with the British Civil Service. He arrived at ChildFund International (formerly called Christian Children’s Fund) via overseas assignments in Africa (10 years), the Sultanate of Oman (8 years) and at Save the Children from 1985-1991.
His time at Save the Children and now at ChildFund International allowed him to participate in the spread of technology to countries in the developing world and to travel and witness the continuing benefits that technology brings.
His professional experience has ranged from ground floor build-out of large computer centers, creation of training programs and training centers, management of government operations centers to senior level management positions with both governments and not-for-profits.
He currently leads a team of 18 IT staff who manage the complex infrastructures required to support a global enterprise.
John is married with 5 sons–scattered in France, New Zealand, and Richmond, Virginia.
