NetHope Global Summit - Hosted by Cisco and sponsored by Intel and Microsoft, 05/05/08
NetHope's recent Member Summit was a great success. In addition to focusing on the five key initiatives NetHope is undertaking (field capacity building, connectivity, emergency relief services, shared services, and innovation), there was real-time member collaboration planning a joint focused response to Cyclone Nargis disaster relief. NetHope's members were joined by representatives from Cisco, Microsoft, Intel, Accenture, Baker & McKenzie, Google, Waggener Edstrom, the UN Foundation and InSTEDD, all of whom have committed to working with NetHope members in order to improve overall NGO capacity and effectiveness through the smart use of information communications technology (ICT).

NetHope India Chapter Holds Meeting in New Delhi, 12/21/07
Hosted by CARE India, the NetHope India Chapter meeting gathered 11 representatives from various member organizations. The next full chapter meeting is scheduled to be in Kolkata in late February 2008.

NetHope Hosts Bi-Annual Summit in Panama's City of Knowledge, 10/22/07
NetHope announces the fall 2007 summit to be held October 22-25 in Panama's City of Knowledge (Ciudad del Saber). NetHope's goal of this Summit was to encourage a core value of "building for the field" while also acknowledging the importance of its international membership base. Therefore the City of Knowledge in Panama, a cluster of academic organizations, technology companies, and non-governmental organizations, was chosen to be home the four day gathering. NetHope thanks its hosts Christian Children's Fund, the Red Cross, Plan International, The Nature Conservancy and Winrock International as well as sponsors Dell and Cuidad del Saber.
