Welcome to NetHope
NetHope is an information technology consortium of 24 leading international non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Through member knowledge sharing, collaboration and by facilitating public benefit collaborations with major
corporations, NetHope enables members to extend their communications infrastructure and leverage of internet-based
applications as they serve tens of millions of end beneficiaries in 180+ developing countries around the world.
The Need
Smart use of technology has a powerful and positive impact on the delivery of humanitarian assistance and sustainable
community development - whether it is equipping aid workers with satellite phones, creating a database of disaster victims or exchanging scientific information with protected park areas, today’s technological advancement makes humanitarian, conservation and development agencies more capable.
Unfortunately, most Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) today are inadequately equipped (in funds, skills and/or knowledge)
to fully capitalize on new technologies in order to better accomplish their worthwhile missions
Our Mission
NetHope is dedicated to the best use of available technology resources by our member agencies in order to improve
their ability to deliver community benefit.
We do this by working across our membership as a highly collaborative team, sharing ICT knowledge, solving common
problems, creating industry relationships to support the public benefit work of all our members, and educating
members as well as the wider community of NGOs.
